The blog documenting my attempt to make a million dollars.

About

Hi. This is my blog documenting my attempt to make a million dollars within 3 years.

Why? Well, long story short, I’m an Ivy League undergraduate student, and I’m not particularly happy here. I’m not enjoying university as much I feel I should be. Right now, after 18 years of non-stop studying, I’ve pretty much lost all interest in studying and school. My ultimate goal is to prove that university is unnecessary for financial success in life. I want to drop out of college and start earning money.

HOWEVER, I won’t do this unless I’m SURE that I’m doing the right thing. Regardless of enjoyment, an Ivy League education is not something that should be given up easily.

My plan to make a million dollars involves three main steps.

First, I will attempt to build income flow through blogging(here), and other internet related businesses (buying and selling web businesses, etc). This is not so different from what the creator www.bloggingexperiment.com is trying to do. I will be attempting to follow the examples of him and several other people in order to achieve success in this stage.

Secondly, after (and if) I have built a solid income (3000-5000$ / month), I will attempt to invest in various forms of investment with my newfound income flow. Real estate is one of the big areas that I (hopefully) will be focusing on in this stage.

Finally, by expanding both web and non-web business ventures, and by maximizing passive, automatic flows of income, I will have enough capital to expand into real estate heavily and, by using techniques set forth by Robert Kiyosaki in his famous ‘Rich Dad, Poor Dad’ series, I will attempt to Make My Million.

Essentially, I am currently in a situation where I’m not happy. I would like this to change. This is the way I can change my situation. On the way, hopefully I can learn a lot, and pass on what I’ve learned to you, the reader. The point of this blog is to show that academic success and financial success, though often correlating, don’t necessarily depend on each other. Not only Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, or Sir Richard Branson are capable of succeeding without completing college. College should NOT be essential. I can succeed without relying on University. I can succeed without being some sort of genius. And hopefully, regardless of whether I succeed or fail, I can pass on what I’ve learned to you, the reader.

Hopefully you’ll support me in my journey to Make My Million.

It would be extremely appreciated if you could leave comments throwing out ideas on how to begin. =D
